Supermemo is a wonderful tool! But it has two problems which hold users back. First, the interface is strange. After all, the program evolved over almost 20 years, and the interface shows traces of its evolution. Second, Supermemo offers a bewildering array of features, so users have no idea where to start.
To help users get started, I'm putting together (little by little) a set of useful tutorials, showing how to do common tasks with Supermemo. Below is a list of tutorials I've made or plan to make. As I complete a tutorial, that list item will become a hyperlink to the tutorial.
Creating a category. Users want to group questions into categories; gardening questions in one group, programming questions in another, and current events in another. This tutorial will get you started.
Note that this tutorial also introduces templates, so if you're interested in templates, this is the one to check out.
Getting started with incremental reading. Incremental reading is such a powerful feature! This tutorial will get you started. (Since Supermemo 2002 dramatically improves incremental reading, the tutorial will cover SM2002.)
Getting started with task lists. Task lists are another powerful feature of Supermemo. This tutorial will get you started.
