Free software authors contribute their time and expertise to create something others can use. They also incur expenses, such as the cost of Internet access or servers to distribute their work. If you appreciate any of the free software provided by Len Budney, such as safecat, fwipe or qscanq, please consider contributing.
All contributions will help defray the cost of running an Internet server to distribute my software. Current cost is a bit over $400 per year. A suggested donation is $5 US, though less or more is certainly appreciated. If you are an IT manager, or are using my software in a commercial enterprise, then let your conscience and your expense policy be your guide.
Whether or not you contribute financially, please drop me a line and tell me what software you're using, and something about the installation: number of users, that sort of thing. It's helpful--and gratifying--to know where my software is being used.
Other authors particularly worthy of support include Dan Bernstein, the author of qmail and the FSF.
