We got very few pictures of Joshua during his first few days. Things were so hectic, and we were so crazy, that it didn't even occur to us until day two. Then I had to get better software, because the stuff that came with the camera didn't quite work. So I left the poor mom and baby, hiked to CompUSA, stopped home for my laptop...
So the first pictures were taken in the nursery at about 10pm on his second day. The nurses were surprisingly skittish about this; they really worried that I might take pictures of somebody else's baby, so they insisted on wheeling Joshua out into the next room. Like I cared about someone else's dumb-ol' baby!
Joshua
asleep in his nursery cradle. Since Joshua hates bright lights, I
tried to take pictures in natural light only.
Joshua and his proud
new father. I had just changed Joshua into his travelling clothes
so we could bring him home.
Strapped into
his car seat. He really seemed to like it; he slept all the way
home and for an hour after we arrived. It's the handy kind which snaps
into a base which we leave in the car all the time.
On his changing
table at home. After the air-conditioned car ride home, the house
was much too warm for his travelling clothes.
